Sarah Cadwallader – Community Participation Coordinator for CAFOD in Southwark – and Andy Wansbury – Campaigns and Speaker Volunteer – attended the Head Teachers Conference organised by the Education Commission in the Archdiocese of Southwark. Here is a report of what they wanted to share about CAFOD resources.
“It was a great pleasure to attend the Diocese of Southwark Headteachers Conference 2019 last week and to meet with Headteachers from across the diocese and share our resources for Schools with them.” said Sarah.
Some of the Key resources shared at the Conference included:
Interactive Advent Calendar
Schools with daily reflections, actions and activities to help your pupils to pray and act though out the season of advent.
Ready-made Advent assembly or collective worship, focused on child rights.
A Christmas message: Messages to the Brave
A New campaign action for Christmas invites us to encourage those people around the world who risk everything to defend the rights our sisters and brothers and our common home.
We are sharing the stories of four human rights defenders (who also feature in the School Advent Calendars) and inviting you during this season of waiting in joyful expectation for Christmas, to send you message of solidarity to those who are also waiting (and working) to see Justice and safety in their communities.
