To celebrate this success, tomorrow CAFOD supporters will have the opportunity to hear from Fr Pius Win Than, a CAFOD partner from Myanmar who has seen first hand the effects climate change is having on developing communities.

Fr. Pius Win Than is the Associate Director for Caritas Pathein, a local CAFOD partner based in Myanmar. Caritas Pathein works with poor and vulnerable communities in the Diocese of Pathein, helping communities to mitigate disasters through supporting the development of emergency preparedness plans and increasing their understanding of their basic human rights.

The evening will run as follows:

6:30 pm Welcome and opening prayer,
6:35 pm Short update on the One Climate One World campaign
6:50 pm Short talk by Fr Pius
7:05 pm Q&A
7:30 pm Refreshments and informal networking
8:30 pm End of Event

The event will take place at Romero House, 55 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7JB, London, United Kingdom. The closest underground station is Lambeth North. There is no charge for the event, but voluntary donations towards Lent Fast Day 2015 are very welcome.

To book places at the talk, please contact CAFOD Westminster on 0208 449 6970 or, or sign up online at!

In the meantime, if you have not done so already, there’s still time to add your name to the campaign online, find out how to Ask an Election Question about climate change, and sign up for the Climate Coalition lobby of parliament on Wednesday, 17 June!
