The Thirst for Change Campaign has received a wonderful response and as we prepare to hand in all your actions at No.10 Downing Street on Tuesday 15th May. We want to say a massive thank you to all of you who have participated and stood up for people who live without safe water and sanitation. Over 35,000 emails, campaign action cards and messages have flooded in already!
The UK government recently announced that they will double the support they give to water and sanitation projects in the world’s poorest countries. It’s good news – but we can make it even better!
With 5 days to go before we hand your actions into No.10 there’s still time to call on David Cameron to take a lead on the world stage and encourage other G8 leaders to make water and sanitation a top priority. If you wish you canEmail the PM now >
So many of you have been doing amazing things to raise awareness of the Thirst for Change Campaign and also to raise money to support our work, as the government continues to match pound for pound all donations towards CAFOD’s Lenten appeal until May 17th. So it’s not too late to double your impact. You can still organise a fundraising event or donate online.
