JPIC Autumn Event

Southwark JPIC Autumn Assembly will be held in Amigo Hall, St George’s Cathedral on 22nd October
We are delighted to have Francis Davis and Alison Gelder as keynote speakers. Francis is a fellow of Blackfriars Hall, Oxford University & a director of the Las Casas Institute on Ethics, Human Rights & Social Justice. Alison is Director of Housing Justice.

Bringing a world view Daniel Hale, Campaigns Officer for Progression will be speaking on “Working for the REALLY big society.” Looking towards 2012 we will be holding the Southwark launch of “100 Days of Peace”, a campaign to surround the London Olympics with peace and create a lasting peace legacy.

And, as an added bonus at lunchtime, we will be hosting the book launch of Catholic Social Conscience: Thought and Action, a collection of essays at the cutting edge of Catholic social thought with contributions from leading theologians,
social researchers and justice and peace activists. The book is edited by Francis Davis and Dr Keith Chappell of Blackfriars, Oxford. Signed copies will be available at a discounted price of £10.

When: 22nd October 10.30 to 4.30

Tea & Coffee available from 10 am.
