A NATIONAL PRIZE FOR CATHOLIC PARISHES

live-simply-award-logoThe livesimply award is a  national prize for Catholic parishes putting their faith into action. Recognition for the ways your church makes a difference in its community – and the world.

Inspired by the papal letter Populorum Progressio, livesimply challenges people of Christian faith to: live simply, sustainably with creation, and in solidarity with people in poverty. It has been supported since 2006 by 80 Catholic organisations. Now, the livesimply award offers communities extra support, encouragement – and recognition for their successes in putting the three livesimply principles into practice.

Parishes have been working to encourage people to get active and walk to Church, or recycle for Justice  or even conduct energy audits.

If you’d like to get your parish working together for a livesimply award then you can find more information and whole set of resources at the livesimply website.
