WANDSWORTH YOUTH ACT ON POVERTY

Wandsworth's 10 Downing Street Door

On the last weekend in September, young people in St Thomas a Becket Parish, Wandsworth were invited by Parish Priest Mgr Gerry Ewing to speak to parishioners about the Act on Poverty Campaign and Harvest Fast Day.  They gave a short talk during Masses, in place of the homily, and showed 2 CAFOD Videos.  They also invited parishioners to write their personal promises and prayers and to stick them onto a No. 10 Downing Street door that they had made.  Act on Poverty Action Postcards were also available, and 89 of these were signed and are on their way to the Prime Minister.
